In 1957, Michel Rapeaud, an engineer from Centrale Lyon University, created MANUPLAST and set it up in 1966 in Fimbrune, a Normandy village, located near La Ferté-Macé (Orne-61 / France).
His son, Martin-Pierre Rapeaud, an engineer from the ISTN (Institut Supérieur des Technologies du Nord), joined him in 2005 to take over the company.
